Infinitum Golf, Lakes Course
As the name suggests, the Greg Norman-designed Lakes Course winds its way around the Sèquia Major wetlands, meaning water is in play on the majority of holes and accuracy is absolutely key if you want to avoid a card-wrecking penalty or two. At 6,889 yards from the tips, it's more than long enough to test low-handicappers, but it's the intelligent routing and the constant threat of water that makes this the most technically demanding of Infinitum's three courses.
Norman has used the natural wetland environment to create a layout where strategic thinking trumps power. You'll face decisions on almost every tee about whether to take on a hazard or play safe, and approach shots demand precise distance control to avoid the water that guards many greens. Miss in the wrong spot and you're looking at a big number, so course management and discipline are essential.
The conditioning here is superb, as you'd expect from a venue that hosts European Tour Qualifying School. Greens are fast and true, fairways are immaculate, and if you can hit greens in regulation you'll have genuine birdie chances. The key is staying patient, picking your moments to attack and accepting that par is often a good score on the tougher holes. Play smart and you'll score well. Get greedy and the Lakes will punish you quickly.

Infinitum Golf, Hills Course
The Hills Course offers a completely different challenge to its sister layout, carved through mature white pine, carob and olive trees with far fewer water hazards in play. That doesn't mean accuracy becomes less important, it simply shifts the emphasis. Hit a wayward drive here and you'll likely find yourself blocked out by trees or faced with an awkward stance on sloping ground, but at least you'll have a chance at recovery rather than reaching for a new ball.
The course follows the natural contours of the land, so expect sweeping undulations that will test your club selection and ability to judge distance on uphill and downhill approaches. Well-positioned bunkers and natural landforms guard greens and squeeze landing areas, meaning course management is just as important as power. From the back tees the course stretches to 6,926 yards, more than enough to challenge long hitters, while multiple forward tee positions make it accessible for players with less distance off the tee.
Throughout the round you'll be treated to spectacular views across the Balearic Sea, particularly from the elevated tee boxes. The conditioning is excellent year-round, with fast greens that reward good approach play and fairways that allow the ball to run in the warmer months. If you like plotting your way round and picking the right side of fairways, you'll enjoy The Hills. If you just lash driver everywhere, you'll be pitching out more than once.

Infinitum Golf, Ruins Course
The Ruins Course is Infinitum's 9-hole option and it's much more than a spare loop to fill time. Designed by Greg Norman, it weaves between Roman archaeological remains dating back to the second century, so you get a genuinely different setting to the two championship courses.
Golf-wise, think shorter but not simple. The landing areas are more forgiving than The Lakes, but the defence here is around the greens. You'll find plenty of subtle movement on the putting surfaces and, if the greens are running quick, you'll want to keep the ball below the hole. It's a great little test for wedges, pitching and putting, which makes it ideal as a tune-up before taking on the water-heavy Lakes Course.
For groups, the Ruins works brilliantly on travel days: squeeze in nine after a morning flight, or play it late afternoon once you've checked in. It's also a handy option if you've got mixed handicaps and want something everyone can enjoy without losing balls every other hole. The setting is genuinely picturesque, with lines of carob and olive trees framing the holes and those Roman ruins adding a bit of history to your round.
If you're building an Infinitum itinerary, a popular play is 18 on The Hills, lunch, then nine on Ruins to finish the day. It's scenic, different and quietly addictive.
