Courtyard Myrtle Beach Broadway

Set in Myrtle Beach's so-called Seaside Golf Capital of the World, Courtyard Myrtle Beach Broadway is a smart, central base for golfers who want plenty of options without complicated logistics. You're around a mile from the Atlantic, a short drive from Broadway at the Beach and within easy reach of Myrtle Beach Airport, which makes it handy for long weekends as well as multi-round trips.

From here, you can build a proper "variety" itinerary, mixing resort-style rounds with sterner championship tests, then still be back in time for dinner and a couple of drinks. In my opinion, that's half the battle on a golf break, you want more time on the course and less time staring at sat-nav.

The hotel is also well placed for the non-golf bits that matter on a group trip, with plenty of restaurants, bars and entertainment nearby. If you're travelling as a couple, it's a good compromise too, golf by day, beach and evenings out by night. The Grand Strand's deep roster of courses is all within easy reach for day trips, so you can tick off headline layouts without spending half your day in the car.

Who is this for? Golf groups and societies looking for maximum course choice, couples who want golf and beach time and anyone who wants a comfortable base near Myrtle Beach's big-name attractions.

Who is it best for? Mid-handicap golfers planning multi-round trips who value location, simplicity and easy evenings after the last putt drops.

Accommodation at Courtyard Myrtle Beach Broadway

Rooms have been refreshed in Courtyard's latest style, practical, comfortable and ideal if you're travelling with clubs, shoes and all the usual kit. Expect air-conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a proper desk space and an en-suite bathroom, useful if you're mixing golf with a bit of work or travelling with a group on different schedules.

The lobby has been reinvented around The Bistro, Eat. Drink. Connect., so you can grab breakfast before an early tee time, pick up something light on the go or sit down in the evening for food and cocktails. For golf trips, that flexibility is key, some days you'll be out the door at first light, other days you'll be back with enough time to freshen up and make a night of it.

There's an outdoor pool, which is a welcome reset after a hot round, and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel for checking tee times, sorting transport and settling the day's bragging rights. The pool area is a decent spot to unwind with your group after 36 holes, and the Wi-Fi is reliable enough that you won't be hunting for a signal when you need to confirm tomorrow's start time or book a table.

All rooms come with the essentials golfers actually use, proper climate control for those humid Myrtle Beach afternoons, enough space to spread out your gear and a bathroom setup that works when you're sharing with a mate or getting ready on different schedules. The desk is handy if you need to catch up on emails between rounds, and the TV is fine for checking scores or winding down in the evening.

If I'm being picky, this isn't a "resort bubble" stay, it's a straightforward, well-located hotel that lets you prioritise what you came for: playing plenty of golf and enjoying Myrtle Beach in the evenings. The Bistro keeps things simple with a menu that covers breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus a decent drinks selection if you want to sit in the lobby rather than head out. It's the sort of setup that works whether you're fuelling up for an early round or settling in after a long day on the course.

Want us to build a Myrtle Beach itinerary around this hotel? Include Courtyard Myrtle Beach Broadway on your next golf holiday and we'll line up tee times, transport and the right mix of courses for your group.

Only had two nights with a group, but Hotel is fine for staying near the nightlife and Broadway on the beach. Staff were great, rooms were also.
