Mosaics is the main buffet restaurant, with a wide international line-up at breakfast and dinner. The quality is consistently good, and there's enough variety to keep things interesting over a week-long stay. Notios is the smarter option, serving Japanese cuisine with a Mediterranean twist in a more intimate setting. Think sashimi, tempura and robata-grilled fish. It's worth booking a table here at least once during your stay.

If you want to eat out, the old harbour is about five minutes on foot, with plenty of waterfront tavernas for fish, meze and an easy-going night off. Agora and Loana are both popular choices, offering fresh fish, Cypriot meze and tables right on the water. If you're like me, you'll appreciate being able to finish 18, grab a quick lunch and still be on the harbour for sunset.

Leisure facilities

The adults-only spa is a real highlight, built around a central pool area with floor-to-ceiling windows. The treatment menu covers everything from deep-tissue massage to facials and body wraps, and there are also saunas, steam rooms and an outdoor rooftop yoga deck where you can join morning or evening sessions overlooking the sea. The gym is well equipped and offers personal training sessions if you want to keep up your fitness routine while you're away. Tennis courts are available for guests, and you can book lessons or simply play at your own pace. The outdoor pool area is ideal for an easy afternoon between rounds, especially in the warmer months.
