Founded in 1901 as a nine-hole layout, Castlerock Golf Club became a full 18 holes seven years later when more land was secured and Ben Sayers of North Berwick was commissioned to design the expanded course.
Today it's one of the North Coast's most enjoyable links, set through rolling dunes at the mouth of the River Bann where it meets the Atlantic. You're also perfectly placed for a bigger trip, with both Royal Portrush and Portstewart around 20 minutes away.
Who is this for?
Golfers planning a North Coast run who want a genuine links day to pair with Portrush and Portstewart.
Who is it best for?
Mid to low handicappers and societies after a testing but friendly links without the price tag or fuss of the biggest names.
